Their site has useful information and links for homeowners and businesses regarding earthquake preparedness.
Kentucky Geological Survey
You can find information on earthquakes, sinkholes and other geologic hazards here. They have down-loadable geologic and topographic maps of the entire state. There are also land use maps in the making…Feel an earthquake? You can view online seismograph charts for different parts of the state right up to the minute.
Kentucky Office of Housing, Buildings, and Construction
The staff at this site is responsible for reviewing the larger building construction projects in most of the state. You can order your Kentucky Building Codes here and also download the addendums you will need to stay current with the Codes. Some of the building permits can be downloaded from this site and the 2002 Kentucky Residential Code can be viewed on-line.
Kentucky State Board of Licensure for Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors
Information about becoming a licensed Professional or Structural Engineer in Kentucky. You can also find out who is licensed to practice engineering in this state.
Kentucky Transportation Cabinet – Division of Structural Design
Information on bridge and highway design; how in particular it is supposed to be done in Kentucky. There are also links to a gallery of Kentucky bridges.

Community Government

Some communities assume the responsibility of code enforcement for some or all of the buildings and structures built there. Providing support and services for the broader field of Civil Engineering (for which Structural Engineering is considered a part) in Kentucky. Supports student chapters at the three main engineering campuses.
