  Building Seismic Safety Council
SEAOK is represented in this organization. You will find downloadable copies of the latest National Earthquake Hazards Reduction Program (NEHRP) provisions and commentary. You pretty much need the NEHRP commentaries right now to use with any of the ASCE 7 seismic provisions. Other new developments in seismic design can be learned about here.
Center for Earthquake Research and Information
This site has good Central US earthquake information, both for the layperson and the professional, and has seismic data for Western Kentucky.
Cold Regions Research and Engineering Laboratory (CRREL)
A good source for information on ice and snow loads.
Construction Engineering Research Laboratory (CERL)
There are over 2500 technical documents on a variety of engineering and construction topics, including Structural engineering. Many of them are downloadable.
Engineering Research and Development Center – Geotechnical and Structures Laboratory (ERDC-GSL)
Technical documents mostly published by the Waterways Experiment Station (WES). Find research results for many public-related issues.
Federal Emergency Management Administration (FEMA) - Library
The FEMA library has useful information for disaster mitigation for individuals, businesses and design professionals. Free downloads on a lot of their materials or order hard copies for free.
Historic Bridges of the Midwest – List of Kentucky Bridges
Data on historic bridges in Kentucky and neighboring states; some photos are provided.
ICC Evaluation Services, Inc.
Ever want to use a proprietary product and need to know how you should use it and still meet code? This off-shoot of the International Code Council (below) evaluates building products and establishes design values to use, prescribes acceptable installation methods and identifies appropriate special inspections.
International Code Council
Find out how forthcoming codes are evolving and provide feedback or suggestions for code changes.
National Council of Structural Engineers Associations
SEAOK is also represented in this organization as well as all others SEA’s in the country. Good information on structural engineering issues on a National level.
United States Army Corps of Engineers - Publications of the Headquarters
A good starting point for design procedures regarding Civil and Structural Works. Some publications have thorough design examples.
USGS National Seismic Hazard Maps
If you need better numbers for Ss and S1 in your seismic calculations than you can get from the code book maps or tables, check this site. Values can be looked up by GPS coordinates or by Zip Code. You can also get the raw map data here.
Whole Building Design Guide - United Facilities Guide Specifications (UFGS)
Need to write a specification for a system that doesn’t fit the Masterspec® mold? This site has specifications for numerous Civil and Structural works in PDF and SEC formats (the latter requires SpecsIntact software to open). Written specifically for US Government projects but can be a workable template for commercial specs.
